Illustrated Encyclopedia of China
vol. 7-8

These are volumes 7 and 8 of a 15-volume Illustrated Encyclopedia of China (Morokoshi kinmo zui), first published in 17191, and re-edited many times since. The author is Hirazumi Senan (平住 専庵 16..-1734) and the illustrator Morikuni Tachibana (橘 守国 1679–1748). Tachibana was an Ukiyoe artist born in Osaka. The publisher of the first edition is Hobundo (宝文堂) in Naniwa (Osaka). The publisher of the 1796 edition is Ogawa Tazaemon (小川太左衛門). Other publishers are Daosuke Kawachiya (河内屋太助), Kiyosuke Kawauchiya (河内屋喜兵衞), Rokuro Tsutsumi (小刀屋六兵衞 ; 浪華).
